Mr. Kuroda has 30+ years of professional experience in private equity investment in real estate and strategic asset management in Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles.

Mr. Kuroda’s consummate experience includes 12-year tenure at Oaktree Capital Management, L.P., where he led several high-profiled investments in Japan including the takeover bid on a listed JREIT in 2008. With Mr. Kuroda as Executive Director of the JREIT until 2015, total assets grew from JPY100 bn to JPY220 bn and dividend increased 2.4+ times via strategic merger and prudent property acquisitions.

Mr. Kuroda’s earlier professional experience encompasses 2 years at Kennedy Wilson Japan, 2 years at KPMG LLP (Los Angeles), 5 years at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (Los Angeles), and 1 year at Kidder Peabody & Co. (New York).

Mr. Kuroda possesses a broad network of business contacts with investors, real estate companies, investment firms as well as financial institutions in Japan. Since 2018, he lectures at Waseda University on real estate investment.
